Angelika Fojtuch. Urodzona w 1978 roku . Artystka intermedialna - interperformance - interdźwięk - intervideo - interobiekt. Studiowała między UMK w Toruniu, ASP w Krakowie, Gdańsku i Poznaniu. W październiku 2005 obrona interdyplomu z performance na Wydziale Rzeźby ASP w Gdańsku. Obecnie mieszka i pracuje w Gdyni.

Angelika Fojtuch - born in 1978, in Gdynia, Poland.

She studied at diverse Polish Academies of Fine Art: in Torun, Krakow, Poznan and Gdansk. In 2005 she graduated from the Department of Sculpture and Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Art in Gdansk.

She works primarily in performance art and its documentation (video, photography, text) and she has given performance workshops a.o. in Bezalel Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Theather College in Jaffa, IDK The Academy of Fine Arts in Tallinn.
Angelika Fojtuch's art work has been presented at events and festivals throughout Europe, in Israel, Canada, China and USA, a.o. at Liste 08 Art Fair in Basel, VIENNA FAIR, NADA Art Fair in Miami, OPEN in 798 Art Zone in Beijing, 7a11d Fado Center in Toronto.

She is presented a.o. at "Tekstylia bis-dictionary of the polish young culture", Wikipedia and culture.pl portal.

In 2006, she co-founded PORT PERFORMANCE - Forum for Performance Art. PORT PERFORMANCE has conducted performance art workshops for international participants in Gdansk, Tallinn, Berlin and Tel Aviv.

She tells: Performance-Art is a live form of art, that an artist creates out of personal resources. The center is the possibility to communicate directly with others without words on different levels - even sometimes more understandable and precisely. The energy, or the situation, or the moment he creates is a personal manifestation of privacy and cultural context. In the moment of the public presentation he is meeting others and share with them the moment of creation. In this way performance-art is more a pure form of communication than a form of visual image. The value of the art piece is more the moment of the transfer of an immanent context, that wants to communicate a view or an opinion and not only to show a nice picture, that limits the free space that is created. Performance art breaks structural borders for to have a free field of communication and with this an exchange of values, natures and originalities.

PORT PERFORMANCE the Forum for Performance Art in the baltic area. The Port as a place of constant exchange, a daily inport and export of values, a place where water and land come together, is the basic idea of the project. In Art Performances the human body is a port for exchanges of inside and personal values with the outside world. Communication takes place. PORT PERFORMANCE connects Performance Art with education, traveling and meeting to a special form of teaching Art in context.
