Mariusz "Wilk" Wilczyński (ur. 1964) - autor filmów animowanych, animowanych miniatur, malarz, rysownik, grafik, performer, scenograf, autor teledysków (m.in. Kayah, Tomasz Stańko, Stanisław Sojka, Republika).
W 1986 ukończył studia w ASP w Łodzi na wydziale Malarstwa i Grafiki dyplomem w pracowni prof. Stanisława Fijałkowskiego.
Jego filmy prezentowano zarówno na festiwalach w kraju (Kraków) i za granicą (Chicago, Bolonia), jak i podczas indywidualnych projekcji w ramach imprez filmowych w Kazimierzu, Paryżu, Mediolanie czy Cannes. Jest wielokrotnym zdobywcą nagród za najlepszą animację na Festiwalu Polskich Wideoklipów Yach Film, wyróżnień w Międzynarodowym Konkursie Grafiki w Jokohamie, czy zdobywcą nagrody za animację na 3. Europejskim Festiwalu Filmów Niezależnych w Paryżu.
W 2005 roku otrzymał nagrodę w kategorii Najlepsza Animacja dla filmu 'Niestety' na 41. Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Filmowym Hugo Awards w Chicago.
Wilczyński jest także autorem animowanej oprawy TVP Kultura, wyróżnionej nagrodą Złotego Glana na 7. Festiwalu Twórców 'Powiększenie'.
Wśród autorskich filmów animowanych Jurora 3. edycji ReAnimacji należy wymienić: 'Allegro ma non troppo' (1998), 'From the green hill' (1999), 'Śmierć na 5' (2002), czy 'Niestety' (2004).

MARIUSZ “Wilk” WILCZYNSKI, born 1964, and a graduate of the Painting and Graphics Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz in 1986, is a Polish creator of animated films, but also a painter, cartoonist, set designer, performer, and the author of over 200 so-called “bookclips” – or “video-supplements” for books. His films have been shown at the top festivals in Poland, Melbourne, Terme and Bologna in Italy, Chicago, as well as at Midem, Cannes, and at several solo screenings including Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Milan, Vilnius, Sydney, and Toronto. Honors include the Golden Hugo Award for Best Animation at the 2005 Chicago International Film Festival, and major awards from the 3rd European Independent Film Festival in Paris (Best Animation), the 11th International Graphics Competition in Yokohama, Japan, and the Ave Multimedial Festival in Arnhem, Holland. Since 2005 he has also been creating the animated segments that frame programming on the new cultural channel of Polish Television, TVP Kultura, honored in 2006 at the 9th Hot Bird TV Awards in Venice, Italy, in large part for the originality of its animated framing. Since March 2005 he co-hosts a weekly cultural program on Polish Television (public TV, Program 1) devoted to phenomena in contemporary culture and art, entitled „After Hours”. Since 2003 he has been teaching classical animation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz.
Prior to his current work with animated segments for TVP Kultura, Mariusz Wilczynski had already been pushing the envelope for years when it comes to the application of film animation to other media. He did music videos for numerous top musical performers like Tomasz Stanko, Breakout, and Leibach, as well as for lullabies performed by many of the best Polish singers, such as Kora, Justyna Steczkowska, and Stanisław Sojka. In 2002 he created 12 animated films especially for a farewell concert by the rock group “Republika”, presented at the 23rd annual Review of Actors' Song in Wroclaw.
In the late ‘90s “Wilk” created about 200 video supplements for books, so-called “book-clips”, which expressed in visual imagery the main themes of the most interesting new books for a cultural program called “Goniec Kulturalny” (“culture courier”) on Polish TV’s Channel One, and then (2003-05) for a similar weekly program called “I Like to Read” Polish TV’s Channel Two, for which his animated interludes where known as “Male Wilki” (Little Wolves, after his nickname). He also created 6 short animated films for audiences in the European Union that promoted Poland and Polish culture, with music by Krzesimir Debski.
This prolific multi-talent had started out in 1985 with paintings and graphics, which by 2000 had been exhibited (including 16 solo shows) throughout Poland, and in Yokohama, Wakayama, London, Sophia, Bruges, Amsterdam, Budapest, Madrid, Oslo and Chicago. His drawings were published in the most influential Polish weeklies: Przekroj (Cross-section) and Wysokie Obcasy (High Heels), a women’s supplement to Gazeta Wyborcza.
And finally, as a performer, Wilczynski has taken part at art festivals WRO Media in Wroclaw, Lodz, Edinburgh, and the AVE Multimedial Festival in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
