Yoko Ono Lennon (ur. 18 lutego 1933 roku w Tokio) - amerykańska artystka i wokalistka pochodzenia japońskiego, żona Anthony'ego Coxa, a następnie Johna Lennona, matka Seana Lennona i Kyoko Chan Cox.

Jej matka Isoko była wnuczką słynnego biznesmena Yasudy Zenjiro, twórcy fortuny handlowej i finansowej, założyciela banku Yasudy. Ojciec Yoko - Eisuke Ono - pochodził ze starego arystokratycznego rodu. Jej pradziadek był aktywnym członkiem ruchu, który doprowadził do postępowych zmian za czasów dynastii Meiji w 1868 r.

Od ponad pięćdziesięciu lat Yoko Ono jest jedną z czołowych eksperymentalnych i awangardowych artystek – jedną z niewielu kobiet – na międzynarodowej scenie sztuki. W tym czasie była związana z ruchem konceptualnym, performance, Fluxusem i happeningiem, przede wszystkim jednak zawsze była niezależną, pionierską artystką, która kwestionuje koncepcję sztuki i obiektu artystycznego i która znosi tradycyjne podziały pomiędzy dyscyplinami artystycznymi. W swojej praktyce stworzyła odmienny rodzaj relacji z publicznością, zapraszając ją do wzięcia aktywnego udziału w twórczym procesie powstawania dzieła sztuki. W twórczości Yoko Ono spotykają się światy dwóch kultur – Wschodu i Zachodu – które wzajemnie się poszerzają, wzmacniają i pobudzają w ciągłym procesie artystycznej kreacji.

The oldest batch starts with, PURPLE NOON (fiction), and I should let you know of my all time favorite animated film, "GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES" - you need a box of kleenex to watch that one.

There are so many, it's hard to list them all.
I love dictionaries. I have French, German, English and Japanese dictionaries on my desk.
They teach me all sorts of things, every time I open them, according to my need.
